good combo?

i just started a new tank, that makes my 5th one. this one is all small africans. i have:

2 bubble bees

2 rams

2 jewels

2 assorted cichlids, the kind that you see in the of the assorted tanks at the pet stores( they are a dull yellow with light stripes on their sides)

none of them are over an inch long. i have several live plants and some good hiding places. has anyone ever had a combination like this before?

it looks like the lower picture but he's smaller and dirty blonde in color, i dont have pictures of them currently but when i take some ill let you see them.

Pseudothropheus crabro (Bumblebee)

Temp - 72 to 78 F

PH - 7.8 to 8.2

Water Hardness - Hard Water

Size - 4 to 6 inches


Microgeophagus ramirezi (Ram)

Temp - 81 to 86 F

PH - 5.0 to 6.5

Water Hardness - Soft Water

Size - 2 inches


Hemichromis bimaculatus (Jewel)

Temp - 72 to 78 F

PH - 7.5 to 8.0

Water Hardness - Slightly Soft Water to Hard Water

Size - 10 cm


Labidochromis caeruleus (Yellow Lab)

Temp - 76 to 82 F

PH - 7.8 to 8.5

Water Hardness - Hard Water

Size - 5 inches


The Jewel & the Ram can not be added with the Bees & Labs.

You can add the Bees and labs together the water is almost the same.

In my community tanks I have

55 Gallon

1 Labeotropheus fulleborni

1 Pseudotropheus saulosi

2 Pseudotropheus zebra

1 Pseudotropheus estherae (Red Zebra)

29 Gallon under 2 inches

3 Maylandia lombardoi

4 Melanochromis auratus

3 Pseudotropheus estherae (Red Zebra)

3 Labidochromis caeruleus (Yellow Labs)

1 Pseudotropheus tropheops tropheops

1 Pseudotropheus zebra albino

2 Unknowns

10 Gallon

3 Hemichromis bimaculatus (Jewels)


You can find any of the above in the "Mixed Africian Cichlid" tanks at your local fish store.
