My Albino cichlid recently had babies and is a mouth breeder. I quarineteened the mom and babies to a hospital tank. She has released the babies out of her mouth and they are swimming freely. I was wondering if and when do you separate mom.

now would be a pretty good time :D

in my experience, she will eat them for food in the next couple of days if you let her stay with them in a breeding net.

She doesn't really do anything after she spits. You could take her out at any time. Mine didn't eat her babies, but she didn't need to be there either.
