#974 New Juvenile Red Devils

Posted by Kandydgyrl on 17 February 2005 - 07:30 PM in Central & South American Cichlids

Hi Everyone! We recently bought home 4 juvenile red devils (they're about an inch and a half long) and set them up in our 55 gal bowfront. We are in the process of setting up a 125, which will be their new home once it's completed. We are hoping that two will pair off and we will return the other two back to the shop, ending up with a mated pair. Since we have never owned more than one red devil at a time, what are the signs that two might be pairing up?
With the exception of one little outgoing fellow, we haven't seen much of them yet, but it's only been two days.
We have owned red devils in the past and they have become, by far, our favorite fish. However, we have never started out with any so young or tried having more than one in the tank. Any advice we could get would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much!
